With Christmas in mind, Rams fans – and their present-shopping relatives – will find the RamsTrust Rendezvous revisiting its former berth in the Westfield Eagle Market tomorrow, from 11am until around 3.30 pm, by popular request. For the last year or so, we’ve enjoyed the great pre-match atmosphere at the DW Fitness Centre & Superstore opposite the stadium, and this will continue through the season.
We’ve established a tradition at this time of year to give many fans the option to detour off the heaving town streets to our Rams-drenched oasis within the friendly market atmosphere. So a one-off, specially–arranged Rendezvous Revisited will be there again this year, as a gesture of thanks to our members and all those that support our voluntary efforts.
It’s the sensible thing to do if you’re shopping in town – grab a pastie & a cuppa, count the bruises and rest your feet awhile, then check out the special offers on all our Rams stuff – books, DVDs, badges, calendars and so on.
We have the exclusive Rams Heritage T-shirts and the limited edition Kev Moore Rams songs CD – both are great stocking fillers, with Kev’s CD providing a muscular musical alternative to the retread Xmas hits and the gentle crooning of carols.
You should be able to find us, wherever we might be in the Market; if things go according to plan, you can let your ears lead you to the sounds of Rams goals playing through on our DVD unit as usual. We’ll also keep shoppers up to date with all the footy scores
Derby County face another tough away game at Watford on Saturday December 12th, so although another spate of injuries has disrupted the squad, the Rams hope to build on this week’s solid performance at Preston as the festive season approaches.
Another point or three at Watford will go down very nicely as Nigel’s squad braces itself for the busy match schedule into 2010. Maybe DJ or even Chris Porter can oblige, to make the Rams once more a threat on away territory – it’s been a long time coming!
Here’s to the Rams building an unbeaten run to the year end, and to seeing Ramfolk tomorrow in town during their Christmas shopping spree.
Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all Rams fans – see you there!
