In 2009, Rams supporters are celebrating their “Year of the Fans”, declared as such by Derby County to mark the club’s 125th anniversary. This programme began with the proud unveiling of Steve Bloomer’s bust at Pride Park Stadium.

It looks like yet another season of transition for us Rams fans. It’s funny how the players and club only come out and say that after the season starts. Robbie Savage saying last week that the Rams have to: “earn the right to be a big club on the field” is not telling us something Rams fans didn’t know when he was still a comedy villain elsewhere.

Derby recently demonstrated ambitious schemes to World Cup representatives; if successful, Derby County’s owners would achieve their dream of producing a global sporting ‘brand’. It is estimated that the tournament could bring £200m to the region, as the commercial and sporting benefits would extend far beyond the football club.

Dear Member, The Annual General Meeting on 8th September 2009 was inquorate and will now be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 22nd September 2009 at Council House, Corporation Street, Derby DE1 2FS.
In accordance with our Constitution, we invited nominations for the election of five Board positions. However, as we received fewer than five nominations, there is no need for an election and those persons nominated are returned unopposed. We hope to see as many members as possible at the AGM.
